Riding to work in the snow

makes me feel like a bloody superhero when I arrive in the office much to everyones amazement.

Mucho slush and compacted snow about today so it was a careful ride in with some friends but only had two minor “oh shi-” moments where the back wheel wanted to show off by going side to side instead of forwards.

Am hoping todays traffic clears the roads for tonights return journey otherwise it’s going to be majorly icy which I’m sure will mean it’s new underpants time before I get home. lol

Am tempted to MTFD and take the bike on the riverboat back along the thames instead but where’s the fun in that?

Also srsly… where’s my damn studded ice tyres Germany! What gives? I thought you guys were ultra-efficient and shiz.

    Snow has arrived in London

My snow/ice tires however have not. FML.

Still I MTFU and rode in today, sh*t I figured it can’t be much colder outside than it is inside my flat right now with no heating and the snow is fresh so not much chance of ice.

Glad I did it too, I arrived in the office like some kind of snow covered superhero out braving the elements, while everyone else struggled with the tube/trains/buses.

And I was one of a handful of people who actually got in ON TIME!

I AM going running with the tritons tonight as well. I fully expect to fall over whilst running. I only walked 20 yards this morning from the office to the coffee shop and I nearly slipped twice on like 1cm of snow slush (take note kids: air force ones are NOT good snow shoes… hopefully my Triax+ running shoes will fare better).

Scales are showing I’m back under tomorrows goal weight again this morning, unless the gods of water retention are in a spiteful mood all is looking good for a decent WiW tomorrow.

Be careful out there people, But remember to be awesome while doing so.
