    More Milestones and MTFU

    So following on from my previous post I managed to just sneak under the 200lb mark with todays weigh in, I’m now officially out of the 2xx’s and into the 1xx’s. About bloody time!

    Last night was Triton training and we did hill sprints. If anything calls for a good dose of MTFU it’s going out in the freezing cold and running up and down a steep hill for an hour.

    While a small part of me was being a whiny bitch and trying to tell myself I couldn’t do it there was a big booming voice drowning that out telling me ‘You’re running a 10k THIS saturday with some major hill sections, after this you’re gonna kill it’. and you know what I am gonna kill it. my pre-race run of the course helped belay my fears a little that the hills weren’t impossible, last nights run totally destroyed any doubts I wasn’t gonna be sprinting up the final hill to the finish line.

    In other MTFU news and following on from the hill sprints last night my legs were DEAD when I got home but did I flake out on cycling in to work today? no. what did I do? I MTFU and made my aching legs cycle my arse into work. I was slow but I did it.

    And I’m glad I did as I just found out it’s a friends birthday tomorrow night so I’m not gonna be able to bring my bike to work so I avoided missing two straight days on the bike. Of course under the rules of MTFU that’s much too lame a reason to excuse myself from a workout so I’ll be up at 6am running in the park to atone for my missed commute.

    19x’s? meh, I got my eyes on the 18x’s now. bring it.
